This past Purim, a volunteer organization called “Chaverim (meaning “Friends”) based out of Queens, NY implemented a special “Don’t Drink and Drive” program.
Local community members volunteered to be available via a dispatch system to pick up and drop off those who were intoxicated or otherwise unfit to drive.
The idea launched about 2 weeks before the Purim holiday and was met with tremendous praise. The administrator of InterGen Health, Jason Newman, was more than happy to sponsor the program which included dispatch setup and costs for the day as well as special sweatshirts for each of the volunteers.
The program proved to be a success and received a lot of positive feedback from the volunteers and local community officials.
InterGen Health is committed to providing quality Home Care Services and keeping the community safe.
